While going through a life-changing event, I went from a stay-at-home mom, to a single parent who needed to provide for myself and my children. I went back to school and earned my Masters of Education degree. While I enjoy working with children, I realized that working with animals is more satisfying to me. My pets were a comfort to me during the challenging times, and I knew that I loved being with and caring for animals. So, I started working as a contractor for a pet sitting company. While working for this business, I learned that it was not maintaining their insurance and bonding which I feel are imperative to professional pet sitting. I knew I needed to start my own business. So, I combined my passion for animals and for helping people and on May 9, 2016, I began Hug A Love Pet Sitting, LLC.

I've been professionally pet sitting since 2008. I have lived with birds (cockatiel, parakeets), fish, lots of cats, dogs, hamsters, rabbits, and gerbils. I have experience giving many kinds of medicines and subcutaneous fluids to dogs and cats alike. I volunteer and foster for Animal Friends Alliance. I am the primary pet sitter and owner of Hug-a-Love Pet Sitting, LLC. Our business is bonded and insured, and we are certified in Pet First Aid. We are members of Pet Sitters International as well as National Association of Professional Pet Sitters. We are a trusted company that has been caring for pets in the Fort Collins/Loveland/Windsor and surrounding area within Larimer County. I am also a Fear Free Certified Professional Pet Sitter and a Pet First Aid and CPCR Instructor.

I am a veterinary technician assistant and graduated from Front Range Community College with my certificate . I have a special love for animals. I grew up with them ever since I was a kid and started riding horses when I was 3 years old. I've always had dogs in my life. I grew up here in Colorado with my family and I absolutely love the outdoors and spending time with my family and enjoying nature. There's nothing I would rather be doing than working with animals as that is my passion. In the long term I am going to be getting into working with large animals, specifically with horses.

I was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and moved to Fort Collins for school. I spent most of my life with exotic pets, so I’m always excited to meet your pet, even if they aren’t fuzzy or furry. I’ve known my whole life that I wanted to pursue a career that would allow me to work with animals, so it’s a privilege to be a part of this team. I’m currently getting my bachelor’s in zoology and a minor in conservation biology because I believe animals should be treated with the same care and respect as people. I like to spend my free time outside with my family, and love going to new places.

I grew up near Longmont Colorado and I have a huge place in my heart for any creature, big or small, scales or fur. No matter what, they are adorable and deserve all the love and care possible. I worked in a kennel previously and took care of many different types of dogs and cats, even some ferrets. In my free time I love hanging out with my dog Thor (he is a tiny terrier poodle mix). I am currently attending school at Front Range Community college in pursuit of an associate in science.

I have always loved animals, no matter their shape or size. I can almost always find something interesting or endearing about a creature. I've worked in volunteer positions with dogs, cats, small mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and wildlife. I currently have a cat, a frog, two snakes, fish, and a frankly ridiculous number of bugs like beetles and roly-polies. I am currently studying at Aims Community College, and I hope to transfer to CSU to go into conservation.
I always strive to give your pet the same love and attention I want people to give my pets when I'm gone. I will be telling them about any interesting bugs I've found lately, though!

I have always been a huge animal lover, so, unsurprisingly, animals became my career. I have been a veterinary technician for 13 years. I love what I do. I love caring for owners' pets and providing peace of mind when they are away. I have two dogs, two cats, and two bunnies and when I go away on vacation I am so happy when I can relax knowing a compassionate, trusted individual is staying with them. My biggest goal when I'm pet sitting is that the pets feel calm and content when their owners are away. I hope to mimic whatever special routine is in place so that pets don't feel like something is "off" when I'm there.

I grew up in Loveland and have always been heavily involved with animals. I grew up with two big breed dogs, two cats, as well as fish and chickens. I have also been working with horses since age six and have an English riding background.
More recently, I have started cat fostering, dog walking, and expanding my knowledge of cat behavior and health. I am currently a transfer student to CSU from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago for an undecided BFA path.

I've been a volunteer with animals for about 10 years and have had cat babies and dog cousins my whole life.  In addition, I have done a ton of foster work with animals (19 in total), even adopting a couple along the way. I presently volunteer with Animal Friends Alliance and  CLICK and I simply love it. Kitty cuddles and dog walks are such a joy, honestly one of the happiest parts of my day.  I find animals to be my biggest life's passion and can't dream of a better job than working with them.

I LOVE being with animals and I am so happy to be a part of the Hug A Love team! Originally from California, I have been in Fort Collins for over 20 years now. I am married to the love of my life and we have 2 cool kids. Most of my career has been in the food industry but currently, along with pet sitting, I help a wonderful senior citizen and her dog, Coco, in her home. Caring for pets has become such a passion for me and I so enjoy meeting new pets and hanging out with them! Oh, I do have a cat of my own who I adore and I really think I am becoming a "crazy cat lady!"

I grew up in Colorado Springs before moving to Fort Collins to go to CSU. My mom is a vet, and I worked in a vet hospital and as a pet sitter and dog walker for 6 years there.

We’ve had every animal you can think of, from big dogs, to cats, tortoises, fish, rats, and more! With my vet experience, I’ve worked with even more animals, including birds, reptiles, and rodents, and am very comfortable with animals that require special care or medication. I have always loved animals, and enjoy making new furry friends often!

I recently graduated from CSU with my Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance, and love taking a break from singing opera and teaching music lessons to hang out with pets!

I was born and raised in Fort Collins, but attended college in Florida to study biology. During the warmer months, I work for the National Park Service as a biological science technician for plants, but have always been drawn to animals. Throughout my life I have had many pets, and currently, I have two cats, a snake, a frog, several fish, some shrimp, and I raise isopods, too. I love all pets big and small and can't wait to meet your furry (and not so furry) friends!
