Services and Rates
Here's what a Basic Service Looks Like:
Playing and lots of TLC, food prep, wash out and fill food & water bowls, cleaning litter boxes, poop scooping, administering oral and topical medications, brushing (if requested), alternating curtains & lights, watering plants, retrieving papers, mail, & trash cans and more. Most sits last about 30 minutes, but if more time is requested to give additional attention to the pets that is something we will do our best to accommodate.
Daily visits: $28 base price for each visit for first pet
Additional pets in household:
$2 per additional dog each visit, $1 per additional cat each visit, additional pricing for large animals, (horses, goats, etc.)
No extra charge for cages or aquariums (fish, hamsters, mice, guinea pigs, reptiles). If a cage/aquarium clean out is needed, the fee will be charged by the time taken for the clean out.
Hourly visits:
Most visits are 30 minutes, which normally gives the sitter the opportunity to spend enrichment time with the pets as well as care for their needs (food, water, medicine, scooping litter, poop scooping). If a visit longer that 30 minutes is needed, then we charge an hourly rate of $17/hour for the additional time requested.
Additional services:
Overnight visits: from 10 PM to & AM, generally, $90 each night, regardless of number of pets (must be in conjunction with at least one daytime visit for the safety and well-being of the pets).
Almost overnight visits: $36.50 for the PM visit and $36.50 for the AM visit, 1 hour each time
Holiday rates:
An additional fee of $5 per visit will be added to the normal fee for New Years Eve, New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
Overnight holiday fee is an additional $15 added to the normal fee for all the holidays listed above.
Transportation to vet, groomer, boarding: $28 for first pet, $5 for each additional pet. We use a seat belt that connects to a harness, so pets need to have a harness or carrier.
Errand service: $28
Home check with no pets: $26 per visit
Administering subcutaneous fluids: An additional fee of $5 per visit (more if an assistant is needed to hold the pet).
Snow shoveling: $25/hour (minimum charge $15)/ We do not shovel unless requested to do so.
Mileage information: There is no fee for the first 15 miles round trip. Above that, there will be a mileage fee per mile. The mileage fee we use is the federal mileage fee.
Payment options: We accept cash, checks, and Venmo (@ hugalovepetsitting).
