Services and Rates
Here's what a Basic Service Looks Like:
Playing and lots of TLC, food prep, wash out and fill food & water bowls, cleaning litter boxes, poop scooping, administering oral and topical medications, brushing (if requested), alternating curtains & lights, watering plants, retrieving papers, mail, & trash cans and more. Most sits last about 30 minutes, but if more time is requested to give additional attention to the pets that is something we will do our best to accommodate.
Daily visits for dogs and cats:
$24 base price for each visit for first pet
Additional pets in household:
$2 per additional dog each visit, $1 per additional cat each visit, additional pricing for large animals (horses, donkeys, etc.) varies.
No extra charge for additional cages or aquariums (fish,hamsters,mice, etc.). If a cage/aquarium clean out is needed, the fee will charged according to time taken for the clean out.
Hourly Sits:
Most sits are 30 minutes long, which normally gives the sitter the opportunity to spend playtime with the pets, as well as care for them. But if a longer sit is desired, then we will add an hourly rate of $17/hour for the additional time requested.
Additional Services Available:
Overnight Sitting: From 10pm— 7am: $80 each night regardless of the number of pets (must be in conjunction with at least one day visit for the safety and well-being of the pet).
Almost overnights: $49.50, 2 hours ( 1 hour 9-10 pm and 1 hour 7- 8 am).
Holiday Rates: New Year's Eve & Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve & Day: $5 extra per each visit.
Overnight Holiday Rates: $15 additional for all holidays listed above.
Administering subcutaneous fluids or medications: Additional $5 per pet per visit (more if an assistant is required to hold the pet still).
Transportation to vet: $24 first pet, $5 each additional pet. We use a seat belt that connects to a harness, so dogs need to have a harness or have a carrier.
Transportation to groomer: $12 each way (dropping off and picking up).
Errand service: $24 per errand.
Home check with no pets: $24 per visit.
Snow Shoveling Charge: $25/hour (minimum charge $10) We do not shovel unless requested to do so.
Mileage Info: The first 15 miles round-trip are free. After that, there will be a mileage fee of $0.65 per mile per visit. Our pet sitters all live in central Fort Collins, and so the mileage will be calculated from the 80525 zip code.
Emergency or unscheduled visits: Charges vary based on situation.
Payment options: We accept cash, checks, and Venmo (@HugALovePetSitting).
